When people ask us where to stay in Corfu, we always smile because our story with this island started exactly the same way.
Sometimes you travel somewhere new and instantly feel that the place is special.
That’s exactly how we felt the first time we arrived in Corfu.
We had planned a simple holiday in Greece, but very quickly we realised there was something different about this island the relaxed atmosphere, the small coastal villages and the feeling that life moves a little slower here.
Then we discovered Northeast Corfu.
It was one of those moments when you look around and think:
This is a place we want to come back to.
Not long after that trip, a new idea started to grow maybe one day we could find a home here with a beautiful sea view.

Searching for Our Home in Corfu
When we began looking for a house in Corfu, one thing was clear to us.
We wanted a peaceful place with a sea view, somewhere close to beautiful bays and traditional Greek tavernas.
We explored several parts of the island, but our hearts kept returning to the same area.
Northeast Corfu especially the region around Kalami Bay and Agni Bay.
This part of the island feels very different from the busier tourist resorts. Instead of large hotels and crowded beaches, you’ll find quiet coves, hillside villas and authentic seaside tavernas.
It’s exactly the kind of place where you can truly relax. The northeast coast is known for its calm atmosphere, olive groves and beautiful bays where visitors spend slow days swimming, boating and enjoying long lunches by the sea.
Kalami Bay A Charming Bay in Northeast Corfu
Kalami Bay is one of the most picturesque bays on the northeast coast of Corfu.
The small bay is famous for its crystal-clear water and relaxed atmosphere, surrounded by green hills and olive trees.
Along the waterfront you’ll find a few charming tavernas and cafés.
One of the most well-known places here is The White House Restaurant, once the home of the British writer Lawrence Durrell, who lived here in the 1930s.
In the evening, sitting by the water and enjoying dinner at a seaside taverna is one of those simple experiences that makes Kalami feel so special.
Agni Bay A Hidden Gem Nearby
Just a few minutes from Kalami lies the beautiful Agni Bay.
This tiny bay is one of our favorite places in the area.
There are three excellent seaside tavernas right on the water, and the atmosphere in the evening is magical.
The lights from the restaurants reflect on the calm water and the whole place feels peaceful and special.
The most well-known restaurants here are:
Toula’s Seaside
Nikolas Taverna
Agni Taverna
All of them are known for fresh seafood, traditional Greek dishes and stunning sea views.

Living the Dream: A Sea View Home in Northeast Corfu
When we finally found the right property with a direct sea view, close to Agni Bay and Kalami Bay, and with a private swimming pool we felt that our dream was becoming reality.
We put a lot of thought into every detail of the villa, from the bedrooms to the outdoor spaces, from the pool area to the small corners where you can enjoy a quiet morning coffee while looking out over the sea.
Our villa was created out of true love for this place from a love for Corfu and the northeast of the island.
A love for the dramatic landscapes and the calm blue sea
A love for the small seaside tavernas in Agni and Kalami.
And a love for the local people and the feeling that this island always welcomes you with a smile.
Why We Believe Northeast Corfu Is Special
For travelers looking for a sea view villa with a private pool, a peaceful atmosphere, and at the same time easy access to beautiful beaches and wonderful restaurants Northeast Corfu, and especially the area around Agni Bay and Kalami Bay, is truly one of the most special places on the island.
One of the things we love most about Northeast Corfu is that it still feels peaceful and authentic, far from the busy and heavily touristic parts of the island.
At the same time, its location makes it easy to explore Corfu. Within a comfortable drive, you can reach Corfu Town, visit popular attractions, or discover other well-known beaches and villages around the island.
For us, this balance is what makes the area so special a quiet place to relax and unwind, while still being perfectly connected to everything Corfu has to offer.
Every time we return to the villa, we feel again what we felt during our very first visit to Corfu.
